New Dubs

Just figured I'd add this.  Got some news on a bunch of series (both classic and moderately new) which I've heard are going to be English dubbed in the near future (some this month it appears).  I'm not a fan of all of them (such as Rosario + Vampire), but I do know people who are fans of those.....so I included them.

The list is up along with links to ANN (Anime News Network).  I'll update as I know they are released.

New anime and misc news

Alright the Winter 2011 season has started.  This should be interesting.  Just glad I didn't miss it.  Got stuck in a hospital for a week, so I was worried I would miss the start.

Also, for health reasons I'm stopping manga cleaning for awhile (possibly permanent).

One more week for new anime

That says it simply.  The new season of anime in Japan starts in about a week.  Some of the new series look very interesting.

*Ore no Imouto seems like it may be a pretty useful comedy about otaku little sisters who hide it.
*MM! makes fun of masochists I believe.  Some people may also know it from the name Emu Emu!.
*Fortune Arterial appears to be vampire drama....probably somewhat comedic.
*Sora no Otoshimono Forte.....well enough said to look at it.  It's the sequel to Sora no Otoshimono so you should watch that one first.  It really is hysterical.  It's also known as Heaven's Lost Property or Lost Property of the Sky.
*To Aru Majutsu No Index II I'm not really sure of yet.  It's the sequel to To Aru Majutsu no Index so you may want to watch that first.  It is also named Toaru Majutsu no Index which really is no change except for a word divided into two.

Next week they two of those start.....the rest follow after.

Snow and fun time

Okay I got my Snow Leopard upgrade for my mac.  It has solved a lot of problems for me in 24 hours.

One of these was that I was constantly having router issues.  Some software for this was available for snow leopard+.  Now that I got it I scanned the wireless signals in my area.  Too many overlapping channels.  Now I just change my channel when needed.

But most importantly I can finally use ordered chapters.

So far I like this upgrade.  I wonder what else I will find.

Oh and I found out the manga titled "Freezing" which I like will be having an anime series produced (2011 I think).

Oh and while it may not sound interesting, check out these two shows from this season.  They are hysterical.
Seitokai Yakuindomo
and
Mitsudomoe

They are both really good comedies.  Stick with it and you WILL be laughing like all hell.

Ordered Chapters in Anime

The advent of this is both good and bad.  It's good for file size......but bad for those of us mac users who haven't upgraded to Snow Leopard.

Why is this?

The only software for a mac which uses this correctly is MPlayer OSX Extended.  And that is only with an extra binary installed......THAT ONLY WORKS WITH 10.6 (Snow Leopard) OR LATER.......NOTHING EARLIER.  NOT EVEN 10.5.8.

I want these movies that are good quality.  But the good quality ones all seem to be using ordered chapters now.  I've started re-encoding them for myself removing the chapter markers.  But this is only temporary.

Originally I wasn't going to bother getting the upgrade since all my software works fine and all.  But now I'm actually going to scrape out the cash for an upgrade.

Been awhile but back for Hajimete no Aku

Haven't made a post in a bit so here goes an update.

I am currently in Typesetting and Stage 2 cleaning (SFX) for ch66 of Hajimete no Aku.

Current Anime season is going pretty good for those keeping up.
My favorite series of this season is Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaō.  Angel Beats is a second.  If you haven't watched them, You really should look them up......even if just on Wikipedia.
Can't wait to see the lineup for next season.  Hope it's good.

That's all for now.

Hajimete no Aku ch56 update and Anime stuff

Okay first off.....Hajimete no Aku ch56 is finished and up.  I finished it anyway even though some jackass group tried to usurp the project from the 2 groups which do it regularly.  They suck.  I'll start cleaning ch58 either today or tomorrow.

And new anime season has started.  Let's get a big applause here people.  I mean BIG.  Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou looks like it might be interesting so I'm keeping up with it.  Kiss X Sis looks like it might be worth watching for the comedy act (even though slightly perverted--but who cares about that.....just adds to the enjoyment).

I don't know about any of the other series this season but I'll probably check some of them out.

Oh and I have heard that Baka to Test to Shokanju has been approved for a second season.  It's an interesting show that makes fun of pokemon type things so I'm happy about it.

Another Anime Update

Okay.....I've seen all the first episodes of the series I believed I may be interested in.  And I've also seen a bunch of the second episodes and here's my take.

Ladies VS Butlers is damn hysterical.  Yeah it has nude scenes and such, but it's done in a comedic way.  Basically making fun of the main characters VERY bad luck that puts him in these situations.  It's my favorite so far.

Baka to Test Shokanju has lived up to my expectations as a good series.  It has comedic mixed with action.  As expected for a series making fun of Pokemon.....I love it.  It's my second favorite for the new series'.

Dance in the Vampire Bund is alright.  No distinguishing marks though.  But it's alright nonetheless.

Omamori Himari is better than average.  Action, Comedy, Eye Candy.  It could be better, but it's alright how it is.

Seiken no Qwasar is pretty much horrible.

Hanamaru Kindergarten wasn't very good.  Just ends up being a little kid show.  Makes me wonder if it was created just to encourage lolicons in society.

And just a note......Hajimete no Aku ch48 has been cleaned for stage 1.  Once the trans comes out I can do the typesetting and stage 2 cleaning.

New Season of Anime in Japan is pretty damn good

Okay I have watched 5 of the new series so far.....and I'm very entertained from it.  Here's a list of them so far.

Series 1, Ladies VS Butlers:  Better than I expected.  While there is nudity and such (more than most), it has a pretty good comedy element.  Especially when the main character looks badass but is actually normal.  While the some of the "elegant" other characters are seem to be that instead.

Series 2, Baka to Test to Shokanju:  Funny as hell.  Kinda mixes school life comedy with making fun of Pokemon.  How can someone NOT like that.  Anything that makes fun of Pokemon is my friend.  It also makes me remember the old game Persona as it has some similarities.

Series 3, Omamori Himari:  Seems to hold true to the manga for the most part so far.  The "interaction" between the characters so far seems to really be comedic from "physical references" if you understand that.  I think most likely will be worth watching.

Series 4, Okamikakushi:  Looks to have a supernatural feel to it so far.  Might include some drama as well.  Can't make any real judgement call yet.  Feels like it may be worth watching though.

Series 5, Dance in the Vampire Bund:  The manga of that is VERY good.  The first episode mainly just seems more like an extended preview, so I can't make a good call yet on it.  But I AM getting good vibes from it.  It is supposed to have a good feel to it.

Someone suggested to me as well to watch both Seiken no Qwasar and  Hanamaru Kindergarten.  But I really think those two will be rather poor.  If you read the manga (and watch the previews), you'll probably understand why I think that.

Enough of that for now though.

New Season of Anime in Japan

Okay the current season of anime is about to become complete.  New year means new anime!!
While I prefer dubs I also like to have up to date series (subs a few days after release).
My favorite two series from this season have been Kampfer and Asura Cryin 2.  Unfortunately they have run their course and are just about finished (Kampfer only has the extra episode next week and Asura Cryin has two weeks left).

This upcoming season has two series I am looking forward to.  Omamori Himari (starts on 01/06/2010) and Dance in the Vampire Bund (starts on 01/07/2010).

If you know anything of these two series in the manga form, you may want to see them in their anime form.  Looks like a good way to start the new year.

January please come already

Now is the time to wait.  A new year means new anime in Japan.  I saw some of the series to be started and saw some I'm greedily waiting for.

The "Omamori Himari" and "Dance in the Vampire Bund" are two manga series are being brought into anime (I'm grinning with a devilish aura now).  "Omamori Himari" is one of my favorites because of it's plotline spin on things.  "Dance in the Vampire...." is also a good one with a unique story.

I know the anime will differ from the manga in many aspects (anime always differ from their manga counterparts).  I do hope they will remain true to the basic stories.  If it's exactly the same in both, then what is the need for two?  Seeing how they portray them will be very much on my mind until then.

JANUARY PLEASE COME ALREADY!!!
